What are clecos?..........Clecos are one of the handiest ways to temporarily attatch panels while fitting them to your project vehicle, or art work. The best way to describe them is that they are a removable rivet. A pair of special pliers are provided to instal the clecos. By squeezing the pliers the tip of the cleco gets smaller and is inserted into a predrilled hole(1/8" or 3/16"). Once released the cleco locks in the panel. These have been used in the aircraft and racing industries for years, however the problem has been that for the small user they were very expensive.PERFORMANCE METAL SHAPING now buys these in volume and repackages them in a 42 pc.kit.
